The Ambience

Located on Buffalo’s East Side, at the end of Humboldt Parkway, the Buffalo Museum of Science (BMS) first opened its doors in January 1929, and has been inspiring curiosity through exploration ever since. In 2010, BMS began making strides to transform all of its permanent exhibit experiences and renovate its former diorama-based exhibits into eight interactive and immersive science studio exhibit spaces.

When you book your event at BMS, whether it’s in Hamlin Hall or the Temporary Exhibits Gallery, you and your guests will have the chance to explore some of the exhibits. You could enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and dinner in Hamlin Hall next to Seymour the Mastodon!

The Features

Whether it’s a wedding, happy hour or cocktail reception, the Buffalo Museum of Science is one of the most unique venues Buffalo has to offer. You don’t have to be a scientist to know that BMS could be the perfect place for your next event!

With more than 700,000 specimens, many of which are relevant to the Greater Niagara Region, the museum delivers a great representation of the present and past natural history of the Niagara Frontier of New York and Ontario.
